TapeJesus ("we", "our", "the app") is a voice-powered calculator web application. Your privacy matters to us. This policy explains what data we collect, how we use it, and your rights.

WHAT WE COLLECT

Voice Input: When you tap the microphone button, your device's microphone is activated. Your spoken audio is sent to Google's Gemini API for real-time speech processing and mathematical calculation. Audio is processed in memory and is not recorded, stored, or saved by TapeJesus. We do not retain any voice recordings.

Game Scores: If you play the TapeJesus game, your score, time, and player name are stored locally on your device using localStorage. This data never leaves your device unless you choose to share it using the Share Score feature.

Cut List: Your cut list entries are stored locally on your device using localStorage. This data never leaves your device.

Cookies and Local Storage: TapeJesus uses localStorage to remember your preferences, game scores, and cut list. We do not use tracking cookies.

THIRD-PARTY SERVICES

Google Gemini API: Voice input is processed by Google's Gemini API. Google's privacy policy applies to this processing. Visit policies.google.com/privacy for details.

Google AdSense: We display advertisements through Google AdSense. Google may use cookies to serve ads based on your browsing history. You can opt out of personalized ads at google.com/settings/ads.

Firebase Hosting: The app is hosted on Google Firebase. Firebase may collect standard web server logs including IP addresses. See Google's privacy policy for details.

MICROPHONE ACCESS

TapeJesus requests microphone access only when you tap a microphone button. The microphone is never activated without your explicit action. You can revoke microphone permission at any time through your browser settings.

CHILDREN'S PRIVACY

TapeJesus is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

DATA RETENTION

We do not store personal data on our servers. All user data (scores, cut lists, preferences) is stored locally on your device and can be cleared by clearing your browser data.

YOUR RIGHTS

You can clear all locally stored data at any time by clearing your browser's localStorage. You can revoke microphone permissions through your browser settings. You can opt out of personalized ads through Google's ad settings.

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated date.
